Congressional term limits ballot measures

Voters have decided on congressional term limits ballot measures across the U.S. As a state ballot measure topic, this includes measures to limit the number of terms members of Congress can serve. In U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton, the U.S. Supreme Court held that states cannot impose qualifications for prospective members of Congress stricter than those specified in the Constitution, including term limits.
